First Sunday Morning Tea has been cancelled for April & May 2020
Seating in every second pew with a maximum of 5 people in each pew— social distancing policy. No choir music, so that the duration of the mass is no longer than necessary. The offertory will not be taken up but will remain on the altar. To eliminate any cross-contamination The weekly collection will be taken up after the Mass as you exit – to eliminate the touching of the collection bags as they are passed around – Collection wardens are asked to stand at each exit with collection bags.
19th March, 2020 Dear Parishioners of St Thomas More, This week there has been a number of implementations by our Prime Minister and Our Archbishop to help contain the spread of corona virus. It is my wish and desire to continue being able to serve this parish with Sunday and Weekday masses. I am aware of the restrictions, and of your wellbeing, both physical and spiritual. Considering all the restrictions, I have decided to add an extra (temporary) Sunday Morning Mass at 9am. To clarify:- the weekend Masses will be on Saturday 5.30pm (Vigil) and Sunday 8am, 9am (NEW TIME), 10am and 7pm. At present the 10am is our largest and most attended Mass I would like to encourage those attending 10am Mass to take advantage of our earlier 9 am Mass or later 7pm mass, to help distribute the quantity of people. A reminder :- If you are not well – you are encouraged not to attend mass but to view the mass online, or on the television.
Baptisms are still being accepted – with a limit of 100 guests inside the church Weddings are still being accepted – with a limit of 100 guests inside the church Funerals are still being accepted – with a limit of 100 guests inside the church
Confirmation , Communion and reconciliation for 2020 at present have been postoned. Please express your interest through our contacts page if you wish for your child to make either of the above sacraments, and when we know the knew dates, we will be able to keep you updated, Alternatively please keep watching this webpage.
